Statement Of Faith
I believe the sixty-six books that make up the Old and New Testament Bible to be the word of God in its entirety. I believe it to be inerrant and infallible. I believe it should be interpreted in the same way as any other sane literature, in that if the plain and normal meaning of the text makes sense, I look for no other meaning. Having said that, I do recognize that its writers sometimes use figures of speech and symbolism.
I believe in one God, who is the creator of all things, who exists eternally in the form of three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that Jesus Christ is both true God and true man, conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified and died as a sacrifice for the full and final payment for the sins of mankind. And that he arose physically from the dead, and ascended to heaven, where he now sits at the right hand of God the Father.
I believe that all who acknowledge that biblical Jesus Christ, and put their trust in his sacrifice for the forgiveness of their sins, shall be saved from eternal damnation in a literal hell. And their destiny is with him in eternal paradise.
I believe Jesus Christ will remove his Church from this world prior to the seventieth week of the prophecy given in Daniel 9, in an event that is commonly known as The Rapture. I believe that Jesus Christ will return at the end of that final period of the prophecy, to rule over this world.
I believe there is a distinction between national Israel and the Church of Jesus Christ in God’s plans. I believe that God has an ongoing plan for Israel, which has most recently been seen in its revival as a nation in 1948, and its history since then. I believe it is God’s will that we bless and support Israel and the Jewish people.
I believe we are close to the time when the man known to students of Bible prophecy as the Antichrist, will openly take his place on the world stage. Whilst I don’t believe he will be given power over Christians living before the Rapture, I do believe many in the Church will recognize him before it is taken up to be with Christ. I believe he will be a prince of Roman heritage, but not of Middle Eastern birth, although I do believe he has ancestral connections in that direction.
